Designed as a multi-functional device for laryngoscopy the A.P. Advance™ offers new 

developments in Video Enhanced Standard Laryngoscopy.

A.P. Advance™ has three levels of functionality:

1. As a traditional stand alone laryngoscope    

The A.P. Advance™ is light, portable and ergonomically designed with an independent power supply 

in the handle and powerful LED illumination. Used in conjunction with the disposable MAC3 and MAC4

blades the A.P. Advance™ offers the intuitive feel of a traditional handle and blade. With the intubation

technique required the same for that of a standard Macintosh handle and blade.

2. As a video laryngoscope     

The device is conveniently converted to a video laryngoscope by connecting the viewer unit to the handle. 

The 9cm viewing screen provides high resolution imaging from the integrated camera. As a video

laryngoscope the A.P. Advance™ offers clear visualisation of the laryngeal opening to supplement the direct view.

In addition the video capability offers applications as a teaching aid.

 

 

3. A difficult airway device    

In patients with a challenging anatomy replace the standard MAC blades with a Difficult Airway Blade (DAB) and

the upward elevation re-directs the line of sight. The inbuilt guide plate of the DAB directs the tracheal tube to the

laryngeal opening without the requirement for adjuvants such as stylets.
